Zamboanga Peninsula – The Bureau of Local Government Development (BLGD) Monitoring and Evaluation team, together with the Regional Project Development and Management Unit (RPDMU), conducted a field validation and monitoring activity from November 11 to 15, 2024. This initiative focused on reviewing completed and ongoing projects funded under the Seal of Good Local Governance Incentive Funds (SGLGIF) for Fiscal Years 2022 and 2023.
Site inspections were carried out in Labangan and Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur; Imelda, Zamboanga Sibugay; and Manukan, Zamboanga del Norte. The activity included thorough spot-checking to ensure that project implementations adhered to approved standards and plans. The BLGD technical team provided valuable feedback and technical guidance to help Local Government Units (LGUs) maintain effective and sustainable project outcomes.
This effort reinforced the commitment to promoting accountability and transparency in local governance, emphasizing that SGLG-funded projects drive meaningful improvements in community infrastructure and services.
