The Department of the Interior and Local Government Region IX,  Zamboanga  Peninsula is in need of  two (2)  Technical Engineers ( registered civil engineer)  to assist the implementation of the projects proposed under FY 2013 on Contract of Services basis effective   from June 1- December 31, 2013.

Engineer III 19 30,474.00
Engineer II 16 24,423.00

 

 

Terms of Reference (TOR) for the Technical Engineer:
Minimum Qualifications

  • Willing to be assigned in the Region / Provinces
  • Willing to undergo field works
  • Must not be more than 50 years old ,Registered Civil Engineer with at least 10 year work experience in the preparation of feasibility study, preparation of drawing plans, technical specifications, and cost estimates, and construction of water supply systems     ( by contract and by administration)
  • With knowledge on the Procurement Law ( RA 9184 and its IRR)
  • Preferably, with skills on hydraulic softwares such as AutoCAD, WaterCAD, or any excel programs
  • Must have good verbal communications skills in local dialects of the Region

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the technical assistant of the PDMU
  • Act as a resource person during the various workshops on the preparation of feasibility study and detailed engineering design, procurement, construction supervision and operations and maintenance
  • Provide follow-through technical assistance to the LGUs relative to the conducted workshops
  • Assist in the review the project proposals / simplified feasibility study and conduct site validation of the proposed projects
  • Assist in the preparation of bidding documents and review of bid evaluation reports, ; attend bid conference and bid-opening activities
  • Review the requirements for progress billing and for the turn-over of facilities
  • Prepare monthly monitoring reports in the format prescribed by WSSU-OPDS
  • Organize management meetings at the regional, provincial and municipal levels to resolve any project related issues
  • Identify management and technical issues affecting the project implementation, and assist in the formulation of solutions
  • Attend to various consultation processes and activities organized by the LGUs
  • Submit monthly accomplishment reportsto the DILG Regional Director, the OPDS Director, the Salintubig Project Manager and the PDMU Chief.
