Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur – The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) IX officially launched the 2025 National Women’s Month on March 05, 2025, with a vibrant and empowering celebration that highlighted the strength, resilience, and achievements of women in all walks of life.

The kickoff event commenced with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting, symbolizing the opening of a month-long advocacy for gender equality and women’s empowerment. DILG IX officials and employees gathered to witness and participate in a series of interactive activities designed to uplift and celebrate the contributions of women. 

A key highlight of the event was the creatively themed booths prepared by various divisions of the regional office, each catering to the diverse aspects of women’s needs and aspirations:

💜 Juana Have it All! Beauty Lounge and Café – A self-care corner offering quick pampering sessions alongside a cozy café experience, promoting relaxation and well-being.

💜 Alot-ta Bai! Barber Shop – A nod to gender inclusivity, showcasing that grooming and self-care know no boundaries.

💜 Just Juana Massage – A stress-relief station providing quick massages to encourage wellness and relaxation.

💜 Juana Cine? – A mini-theater featuring inspiring films and documentaries about women’s struggles and triumphs.

💜 Juana Glow and Pose – A confidence-boosting station where participants could enjoy a quick makeover and capture their empowered selves through a photoshoot.

The 2025 National Women’s Month celebration at DILG IX underscores the agency’s commitment to fostering an inclusive and gender-responsive workplaces. Through activities that promote self-care, empowerment, and appreciation for women’s contributions, the event set the tone for a meaningful month of advocacy, learning, and celebration. 

As the month progresses, DILG IX looks forward to engaging its workforce and partner agencies in more initiatives that champion the rights and well-being of women, reinforcing the theme of equality, inclusivity, and empowerment.
