The Department of the Interior and Local Government Regional Office IX will spearhead a series of activities to commemorate the thirty-first year of the enactment of Republic Act 7160 or the Local Government Code of 1991.

Anchored on the theme “Celebrating and Sustaining the Gains of Devolution,” the lined-up activities seek to reward duty-bearers for their contributions to local governance, highlight their best practices, promote stakeholder participation, and inform the public about the significant milestones on local governance since the devolution of functions.
