Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur – The Local Governance Regional Resource Center (LGRRC) under the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) IX conducted the second part of the Deepening Session on SGLG Areas focusing on the Environmental Management, at the DILG IX Conference Hall, Balintawak, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur on January 31, 2025.

The discussions centered on the identification of challenges and hindrances on the implementation of various initiatives undertaken by Local Government Units (LGUs) concerning essential environmental management areas, including solid waste management, water quality management, preservation of biodiversity, and the incorporation of green spaces in their locality.

The identification of the problem is crucial, as it allows the facilitator to assess the specific needs of th LGUs in terms of capacity building. This understanding will enable to tailor support and resources effectively, ensuring that their unique challenges are adequately addressed.
