Zamboanga City Mayor Celso L. Lobregat will meet with Secretary Robredo this week to personally hand over the 10 Million financial assistance

for proper turn over to officials of the 19 affected LGUs that Zambonga City government is donating to families displaced due to the monsoon rains or Habagat that hit Luzon recently.

The 10 M donation is taken from the city’s calamity fund and was approved for released during a meeting of Lobregat-led City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (CDRRMC) in City Hall last August 10, 2012.

Of the amount, 1 Million will be given to San Mateo, Rizal, a sister town of Zamboanga City and the P9 Million to be shared among 18 other flood-stricken municipalities at P500, 000 each.

Mayor Lobregat said that the city’s donation is a way of showing sympathy and concern to fellow Filipinos in Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon. The amount will help alleviate the plight of the affected families.
