To conduct an ocular visit for the proposed 5-km coastal road connecting municipality of Dumalinao to Pagadian City, Vicente M. Borgonia, PAMANA ZamBaSulTa Coordinator, personally witnessed on March 22, 2013 the soon-to- be road network that connects the Barangays of Bomba and Poloyagan of Pagadian City to the brgys. of Pantad and Rebokon in Dumalinao .
The road network was a project under PAyapa at Masaganang pamayaNAn (PAMANA)-OPAPP with 25M budget which in part will be released by July this year.
With an assistance provided from the DILG IX management, Borgonia happened not only to have ocular visit on the site but also talked with the concerned citizen on the said project.
“When it will be implemented, it will be easier for the beneficiaries to transport their commodities to the city in less than an hour than passing the provincial road in a couple of hours, said LGOO VII Verner Virgilio C. Jayme, Chief in the Local Government Operations.
“Moreover, opening this road network will also be an avenue for a quick response in maintaining the peace and order stability”, he added. “ As it is the prime goal of the program to respond and strengthen peace building, reconstruction and development in conflict-affected areas” he continued.
Also during the ocular visit, Borgonia received feedbacks and responses from the nearby residence on the existing problem among the habal-habal drivers and regular passengers the difficulty in passing the area.
Borgonia said that through this project the delivery of basic services can be made accessible in a most convenient way for economic development.
