Presided by Chairman Rogelio F. Iglesias, the member of the agency discussed the conduct of seminar on Climate Change, planting of mangrove trees at Mampang, Zamboanga City, IEC Campaign on the bad effects of plastic bags and mural painting for the consumers month celebration on October 2013 are the listed activities in the action plan.
The agency, due to budgetary constraints in providing honorarium for resource speakers on the conduct of the seminar on Climate Change has planned to invite the office of Senator Loren Legarda on the tentative schedule- October 31, 2013.
However, if the Office of the Senator could not respond positively, the representative from the LGU will inquire and seek funding from Worldwide Fund for the activity. Otherwise, the third option would be the cost sharing of member agencies for the conduct of the seminar.
Also announced during the meeting was the decision to forgo the mangrove planting at Sta. Cruz Island and to do it at barangay Mampang, Zamboanga City.
