Municipality of  San Pablo disclosed their 2M water system project under  2012 SaLinTubig  program which is now operational to the Rural Health Unit (RHU) and to the beneficiaries.

The project has reduced the incidence on waterborne disease and  has increased beneficiaries from 76% to 90% in Brgy. Poblacion who are now enjoying 24-hour efficient delivery of safe water supply.

One of the recipients during the monitoring of DILG Region said that the supply of water direct to their kitchen maximize their time consumed to fetch water from afar. He was very thankful that the local government has addressed their needs.

Part of the 2M budget allocation for the Level III water system is to provide water delivery to Rural Health Unit in the said town.

Dr. Hermeraldo M. Catubig, Jr, the Municipal Health Officer, said that this is truly useful in the center in providing sanitation and also to their green vegetation.

“ The water supply uplifts the services of our RHU. We are very much thankful to this services delivered direct to our rooms. In fact, recently, we are awarded among the top 5 LGUs nationwide for being the Champions for Health Governance. Only RHU San Pablo qualifies to this recognition in Mindanao. Actually, this also reflects on our services rendered to our clients”, said Dr.Catubig.

Municipal Mayor Belman Mantos assured that the LGU shall maintain the operation and improve the system of collection for a continuous and efficient delivery of this basic service.

It is important to note that the 2012 Sagana at Ligtas na Tubig sa Lahat Program was established to provide grant financing and capacity building for the  implementation of water supply projects in waterless municipalities in poorest barangays with high level of waterborne diseases, and Rural Heath Unit lying centers without access to safe and potable water.

Other LGUs that avail  2012 Salintubig Program in the region include Ramon Magsaysay, Tambulig and Rizal with 1M budget each
