A turn-over was held in Camila 2 Hotel, Dipolog City last January 14, 2016 as outgoing PD Maria Calpiza J. Sardua, CESO V, officially handed over the position and responsibility as Provincial Director of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) of Zamboanga del Norte province to the incoming OIC-PD Lerma M. Campaner.
The said ceremony was graced by the presence of our very own Vice Governor Senen O. Angeles, together with the officers and staffs of DILG in the province.
PD Sardua called the ceremony to order which started with an opening prayer followed with the singing of the National Anthem and ZaNorte Hymm. A roll call was made by LGOO II Maretes M. Anota as well and then, the declaration of the turn-over.
Vice Governor Angeles gave a message during the ceremony wherein he reiterated how PD Sardua was able to do great as a leader of DILG-ZdN. He also expressed his solid support to the newly appointed OIC-PD Campaner in behalf of the Administration of the Provincial Government lead by Governor Roberto Y. Uy.
Vice Governor Angeles ended his speech acknowledging and expressing his gratitude to PD Sardua for all the accomplishments and contributions she imparted in the Provincial Local Government Unit (PLGU) and welcomed OIC-PD Campaner as the new leader of DILG-ZdN family.
Selected DILG personnel namely LGOO II River A. Tabada, LGOO V Johnas Bernardo S. Cabral, LGOO VI Robin Anthony B. Quebral, CLGOO Sherrie Charlota N. Machutes and retired CLGOO Jimmy L. Capuyan also gave their messages during the ceremony where most of them cited how PD Sardua was able to improve the performance of DILG-ZdN for more than two (2) years handling the provincial office. At the same time, they pledged their full support and cooperation to OIC-PD Campaner.
PD Sardua responded to all messages and expressed her heartfelt gratitude to all her staffs and officers of DILG-ZdN and to PLGU as well where she enumerated her experiences during her stay in the province especially the good times.
The ceremonial turn-over of key of responsibility to the incoming OIC-PD Campaner from PD Sardua together with the commitment scroll for the year 2016 took place after the former ended her speech.
Right after the ceremonial turn-over, OIC-PD Campaner gave her acceptance speech asking for the continuing full cooperation of the DILG-ZdN family for the continuous good performance of the province. She also mentioned the 2016 policy setting followed by her signing the commitment scroll together with the CLGOOs, Cluster Heads and MLGOOs.
The crowd was entertained as well as Beato Tajom, Jr. serenaded PD Sardua and the ceremony concluded with a photo session together with the outgoing PD Sardua and incoming OIC-PD Campaner.
“Sharing the Year that was: A Legacy and Moving Forward” is DILG-ZdN motto for this year which simply means “Sharing the Year that was a Legacy with PD Sardua and Moving Forward with OIC-PD Campaner”.
