Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur – The DILG IX successfully conducted a Deepening Session on Safety, Peace and Order with participation of the PDEA, PNP, BFP, BJMP, POC & ADAC Focals and selected DILG Field offices on March 14, 2025 at the DILG IX Conference Hall, Balintawak, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur.

The deepening initiative was brought by a commitment to strengthen governance in Safety, Peace and Order of the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG). The session was set on the course of reviewing the 2024 POC and ADAC Audit Result followed by a workshop encompassing sentiments from various stakeholders on their strengths and weaknesses that affect performance output.

The highlights included participants’ enthusiasm & hunger for growth leading to the identification of main problems –filtered out from the systemic issues and concerns encountered– that hindered success and development. To match that,  timely capacity development interventions were deliberated –including training, logistical support and policy standard refinement– to improve their standing on effective innovations and implementations.

Through the engagements & knowledge sharing, LGUs will be equipped with the necessary means and proficient ways to ensure sustainable and holistic triumph through safety, peace and order area and subsequently be recognized under Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG).
