On January 14, 2013, a Turn-Over of Check and MOA signing was conducted at the newly-constructed covered court of Barangay Cabatangan, this city. The check amounting to ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND PESOS (PHP 100,000.00) is a financial assistance initiated by the DILG, Central Office and coursed thru the DILG, Regional Office IX then thru the DILG, Zamboanga City Office for the Barangay Government of Cabatangan for the purchase of equipment for disaster preparedness and mitigation.

Present during the activity were the barangay officials of Barangay Cabatangan headed by Punong Barangay Ramon D. Dagun, OIC-City Director Moh. Taha S. Arakama and Stat. II Isidro A. Cillo, Jr. of DILG, Zamboanga City. No less than Honorable Celso L. Lobregat, City Mayor, was there to witness the turn-over and MOA signing. An estimated crowd of about TWO HUNDRED (200) residents of Barangay Cabatangan were in attendance.

The activity was short, simple and very successful. After the Invocation, Singing of the Philippine National Anthem and Zamboanga Hermosa Hymn, PB Dagun delivered the Welcome Remarks. Afterwards, MOA signing and turn-over of check was done. OIC-CD Arakama gave his message while Mayor Lobregat delivered  his Inspirational Talk. A Barangay Kagawad delivered the Closing Remarks.

It was a beautiful sight of smiles and cheers from the barangay officials and residents of Barangay Cabtangan for the newest blessing they received from the DILG.
