Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur  – The spirit of unity and environmental stewardship was in full display during the KALINISAN sa Bagong Pilipinas Clean-Up Activity, conducted on December 06, 2024, at the Pres. Corazon C. Aquino Regional Government Complex, Balintawak, Pagadian City

Participants from various National Government Agencies (NGAs), the City Government of Pagadian, and the Barangay Local Government Unit (BLGU) of Balintawak joined hands in a collective effort to promote cleanliness and environmental sustainability. A short briefing on waste management was provided by LGU Pagadian City Environment and Natural Resources Officer (CENRO), Analyn C. Babayson, setting the tone for an informed and impactful activity.

NGAs actively participated in the clean-up drive, including the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) IX, Department of Education (DepEd) IX, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) IX, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) IX, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) IX, National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) IX, Department of Health (DOH) IX, Philippine Regulations Commission (PRC) IX, National Meat Inspection Service (NMIS) IX, Department of Justice – Parole and Probation Administration (DOJ-PPA) IX, Bureau of Treasury (BOT) IX, Office of Civil Defense (OCD) IX, National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) IX, Department of Agriculture (DA) IX, National Irrigation Administration (NIA) IX, Philippine Information Agency (PIA) IX, and the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) IX.

The activity underscored the importance of inter-agency collaboration and community involvement in addressing environmental concerns, fostering a shared commitment toward a cleaner and greener future for the region.
